He was also former municipal councilor and city councilor of the Municipality of Lugano.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>He was actively involved in the field of sport, serving as chairman of the Football Club Lugano, member of the Executive Committee of the Swiss Federal Football Association and the National Football League, and delegate to the national teams.
